  • Chris Romano

    Prior to joining Atlanta Strength & Conditioning, Chris was the Head Coach and wrote the programming for one of the largest Crossfit gyms in Atlanta. He is an accomplished Fitness coach and was named the "2015 Best CrossFit Instructor in Atlanta" by Best Self Atlanta Magazine and was also selected to be a judge at the 2014 CrossFit Games, 2014 CrossFit Dirty South Regionals, the NPGL combine, and the 2017 USAW Youth Nationals (as a LWC Ref). In 2016 Chris has also been coaching a Wodaplooza Miami podium winner and 2016 CrossFit Games athlete, Gus Goldman. Chris is also one of 5 Certified USA Powerlifting Senior National Coaches in the state and one of the only known coaches to have both the USAPL Senior National Coach title and USA Weightlifting Level 2 Coaching Certification.

    Chris focuses on improving member's fitness levels through teaching proper and safe movement and increasing the athlete's work capacity in a safe environment.

    As an athlete, Chris competed on Team USA and Team Georgia Weightlifting, and has lifted for the USA in the 2017 Pan American Weightlifting Championships in the Dominican Republic (winning the silver medal in the 94kg 35-39), and Lifted in the 2017 Nike USAW American Open winning the Bronze for the 35-39 men's 94kg class (Weightlifting), Wodaplooza Miami 2015, 2017 USA Powerlifting Georgia State Championships (silver in Bench Press, Bronze in Push Pull), 2017 Arnold Weightlifting Classic in Columbus Ohio, and the 2017 Italian Showdown in Milan Italy. Chris had competed in the 2014 SAGL Grid League Invitational on the Atlanta Assassins, and is currently a Nike Weightlifting Athlete and Virus Compression Athlete.

    Chris has always loved competition and has been a very focused athlete throughout his life. Chris played soccer, ice hockey, and baseball growing up. After college, he was a part of the US Ski Team program, racing mostly in Europe and South America. His greatest achievement is finishing in 3rd place Overall in the A1 FIS Masters World Cup in 2011, and he was the first to bring a FIS Masters World Cup crystal globe back to the States. Until two years ago, Chris's 454 overall FIS Masters World Cup Career Points was the most by an American. Currently Chris plays GK for Inter Atlanta FC semi pro soccer club.

    Chris is both American and Italian and is married to Christina, and they have two young boys. In his free time, Chris enjoys surfing, water skiing, and following Italian soccer (both the National team and SSC Napoli). He also enjoys visiting other boxes (trained over 160 different Crossfit boxes all over the world). When he is not coaching or training, he can usually be found working out at home with his sons by his side.

  • Matt Newcome

    Matt has his CrossFit L1 and has taken the CrossFit Gymnastics Trainer Course. He qualified to compete at Wodaplooza 2017, coming in third place. Matt coaches our 7pm classes.
  • Luis Santiago

    Luis coaches our Monday classes and has completed his CrossFit Level 1 Cert.
  • Christine Argo

    Christine was introduced to kettlebell training by Senior SFG, Delaine Ross at her Atlanta facility, Condition Kettlebell Gym in December of 2009, and fell in love. In a few short months working with Delaine and her team, Christine shed about 20 pounds of fat and later added lean muscle using nothing but kettlebells and proper diet! She is an SFG through Strong First and one of our expert coaches when it comes to the kettlebell. Christine is a project manager with a national construction company and lives in Vinings.

  • JoJo Harrison

    JoJo Harrison is from Eastman, GA. He has played baseball collegiately at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He has now moved to the coaching side of baseball at Coastal Stars Baseball Academy for high school baseball teams across GA. Jojo Started doing Crossfit in 2014 and has competed in several local competitions. His favorite thing about Crossfit is the functional movements that help him take on life. Jojo will be taking the L-1 trainers course in August.
